UBM

RoHS and UBM. What does it mean?

Xrio are pleased to announce that all UBM appliances are ROHS (Restriction on Use of Hazardous Substance in Electronic Equipment) compliant to deliver a more energy efficient product and lower operating cost to customers.

Whilst developing the UBM, delivering maximum efficiency for the end user was a key objective for Xrio. Bearing in mind rising energy costs it was crucial to design a product that was economical to operate whilst ensuring high performance. In comparison to other competitor load balancer and bandwidth management products on the market, the Xrio UBM range uses less power consumption to function thus reducing energy costs and offers organisations an environmentally friendly option.

Under European legislation, organisations are required to ensure that manufacturers do not exceed the maximum levels of hazardous substances. All UBM models and components have been manufactured to comply with ROHS legislation requirements.

I would definitely recommend Xrio. A device like this allows you to implement multi-ADSL lines and it's cheaper than keeping single SDSL lines.
