SDSL (Symmetrical Digital Subscriber Line) Is a form of DSL Internet technology that runs over the copper telephone network. SDSL provides an Internet connection to homes and business through their telephone lines. Symmetrical refers to equal download speed and upload speed as opposed to ADSL. Unlike ADSL it cannot also co-exist with a voice service as it uses the entire bandwidth. Alternatives to SDSL include ADSL, Fibre Cable, Wireless, Leased Lines, Dial-up, and ISDN.
