What is an IP?
Every Internet website has an address so that it can be identified by network devices (e.g. computers, servers). This is known as the IP addresses and is a number in the following format (e.g. 216.27.61.137). All IP addresses are stored on DNS and DNS servers that act as IP address books. When an Internet user wants to connect to a website, it is a DNS server will refer to the DNS to do this automatically for the user.
