What does Download mean?

To download is the process of retrieving data (visual, audio, text document, software, application, email, etc.) from the Internet through to a PC. As a website consists of the above examples it is considered as downloading every time a webpage is viewed. Even though the data is transmitted through an Internet connection it actually originates from a remote computer or server. Download speeds vary depending on the bandwidth capacity of the Internet connection.
