Xrio was first founded in 2003 during the early stages of when Broadband Internet replaced dial-up Internet connections.

Since its launch, Broadband continued to introduce many improved features and benefits which resulted in a quick adoption of Internet connectivity amongst organisations. The Internet revolutionised the way organisations around the world now operate and has become a standard yet crucial requirement. However, as organisations began to adapt to shifting online, the need for stable connectivity and a higher bandwidth for a more efficient and smooth network became fundamental.

A solution for these organisations was urgent as they could not afford to abandon their Internet connection due to its advantages and enormous growth potential. Xrio identified this market opportunity in the UK and began to research for a technological solution that would meet the needs of these organisations.

In 2003 Xrio Ltd. was officially formed and rapidly established their reputation through securing agreements with system integrators for their unique Internet link aggregation and resilience products.

Over the years, Internet uses and applications that utilise WAN and VPN networks such as Web browsing, E-mail, streaming, file-sharing, remote access and VoIP have outgrown traditional working methods and are considered as mission critical tools. Yet despite this increasing dependency, organisations still face Internet connectivity issues and new challenges as Internet technology evolves.

Operating from UK based Headquarters and an International Sales office in Egypt, Xrio has expanded distribution to overseas markets including Europe, America, Australia, Middle East and Asia. Our products are channelled through a wide spread of IT distributors, and are available from IT resellers, system integrators, online IT retailers and ISPs locally and internationally.

In order to deal with the diverse Internet connectivity challenges faced by organisations today, Xrio has further developed their technology to create a more advanced and unique solution known as UBM - Unified Bandwidth Management. Unified Bandwidth Management incorporates core functionalities such as Internet Link Load Balancing, ISP Bonding, and Bandwidth Management into a single versatile appliance that allows organisations to maximise the use of their Internet connectivity.
